How we handle your information

This policy explains what information Geof Shuford Personal Training, LLC, doing business as Coaching for Bariatric Success and Phoenix Fitness (“we,” “us,” or “the Company”), collects when you visit our websites, book a call, purchase a program, or work with us directly — and what we do with it. It applies to both businesses, since they're operated by the same company.

We're a small coaching and training business, not a data company. The short version: we collect what we need to run your program and answer your questions, we don't sell your information to anyone, and we share it only with the handful of services that help us deliver what you paid for.

Information we collect

Information you give us directly

• Contact details you provide when booking a call, filling out an intake form, or emailing us — name, email, phone number.
• Information you share during coaching or intake, which may include health history, surgical history, medications, injuries, or other details relevant to building a safe program. You control what you disclose; we only ask for what's relevant to coaching you safely.
• Payment information when you purchase a program. We don't see or store full card numbers ourselves — payment is processed by Trainerize (and its payment processor) or Gumroad, depending on which program you purchase.
• Your typed signature, and the fact that you reviewed and agreed to our release and waiver, along with a timestamp, if you enroll in a program that requires one.

Information collected automatically

• Basic technical information when you visit our site, such as browser type and general device information, of the kind most websites collect through standard hosting logs.
• If you use Trainerize to complete workouts, Trainerize collects your activity within their app under their own privacy policy.

How we use your information

• To deliver the coaching, training program, or course you purchased or booked.
• To communicate with you about your program, appointments, or purchases.
• To maintain a record that you reviewed and agreed to our liability release before starting a self-directed program.
• To improve our programs and content based on general, non-identifying patterns in how people use them.
• To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We do not use your health information for marketing, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Who we share information with

We use a small number of outside services to run the business. Each only receives the information it needs to do its job:

• Trainerize — delivers your workout program and processes payment for gym-based programs.
• Gumroad — processes payment and delivers access for digital courses.
• Vimeo — hosts course video content.
• Calendly — schedules and manages free consultation calls.
• Google (Sheets/Apps Script) — stores a timestamped record of waiver consent for programs that require one.

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety of you or others. Otherwise, your information stays with us and the services listed above.

Data retention

We keep coaching and intake records for as long as we're working with you, plus a reasonable period after in case questions come up. Waiver consent records are kept indefinitely, since they may be relevant to a liability claim well after your program ends. You can ask us to delete other personal information at any time, as described below, and we'll honor that request unless we're required to keep it (for example, financial records for tax purposes).

Your choices

• Access or correction. Email us and we'll tell you what we have on file and correct anything inaccurate.
• Deletion. You can ask us to delete your personal information, subject to the retention exceptions above.
• Marketing communications. Any email newsletter or list we send to includes an unsubscribe link.

If you're a Colorado resident, you have additional rights under the Colorado Privacy Act, including the right to opt out of certain processing. Contact us using the information below to exercise any of these rights.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including relying on reputable third-party platforms (Trainerize, Gumroad, Google) that maintain their own security practices for payment and data storage. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our tools or practices change. The effective date at the top will reflect the most recent update. Material changes will be posted here; continued use of our services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
